Osa O'Shea's Story
7-year-old Osa's world was turned upside down when her family was evicted and had to surrender her to South LA Shelter. Despite losing everything she ever knew, Osa's spirit stayed intact, and she won the hearts of shelter staff and volunteers with her sweet, gentle personality. While at the shelter, Osa's mobility declined, and she needed specialized veterinary care that the shelter couldn't provide, so the staff reached out to FFF, hoping we could give this deserving girl a second chance.

Thankfully, after becoming a Frosted Face, Osa responded wonderfully to treatment and regained her mobility! She loves going for walks and has excellent leash manners. Osa is the definition of a love bug. She's happiest curled up beside you, soaking up affection and returning it with the gentlest kisses. She's also gets along great with other dogs, and she LOVES stuffies!

Osa has enjoyed several Frosted Field Trips and overnight Frosted Flings, and every foster family has shared the same glowing review: Osa is an absolute gem. Calm, loving, easygoing, and incredibly grateful for every bit of kindness, she leaves a lasting impression on everyone she meets. Here's the scoop from her most recent foster mom:

"After nearly 4 weeks together, I can confidently say Osa is 100% house-trained. She had ZERO accidents and only barked at the door three times to let us know she needed to go outside. Osa has ZERO separation anxiety. The "worst" thing she'll do is steal a shoe-not to chew it, but to cuddle with it because she misses you. She isn't destructive at all. She's incredibly gentle with her toys and loves carrying them around like a little pacifier.

Osa sleeps soundly in her own bed for about 9 hours every night. Other than making adorable Chewbacca noises around mealtime, she's a very quiet dog. Her routine with us includes five short, 10-minute walks each day. She's also perfectly content relaxing at home while you're at work. We left her alone for 6 hours with no issues and, of course, no accidents.

Osa is a sweet, mellow companion who would do best in a ground-floor home or somewhere with a ramp, as she can't manage stairs. She loves car rides and needs a ramp or to be lifted into the car. Osa is wonderful with large dogs and kids. Around small dogs, she simply needs a little guidance with personal space, but she's always respectful and gentle. Osa has come so far, and she's ready for the family who will love her for the incredible dog she is!"

To meet this very special girl, please email:
placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org
