Osa O'Shea's Story

7-year-old Osa was surrendered to South LA Shelter by her family after they were evicted from their home. She immediately captured the hearts of shelter volunteers and staff with her sweet, loving nature. Sadly, as time passed, and Osa's condition declined in the shelter, and she became unable to use her rear legs. She needed veterinary care to regain her mobility that the shelter couldn't provide and was designated for euthanasia.

Thankfully, we were able to rescue Osa in time, and she responded wonderfully to treatment! As you can see in her videos, our resilient, happy girl gets around great! She loves going for walks and walks so nicely on leash. Osa is a complete teddy bear sits happily by your side while soaking up all the pets and gives gentle kisses. She gets along very well with other dogs, too!

Osa recently went on a weekend Frosted Field Trip, and not surprisingly, earned a rave review for being a sweet, well-mannered companion who is also a great travel buddy! Her foster mom shares:

"Osa was an easy and fun weekend guest. On the two hour trip to Palm Desert, she slept most of of the car ride. Osa loves toys, and it's so cute how she gathers them all. She woke up around 7am and let us know it was potty time. We would go for a short walk before breakfast. After breakfast, she would play with toys and nap. We went for a few more short walks through the day, the last one after dinner.

Osa is such a sweet girl and loves being close her people. She liked to be in the same room with us and would bring all her toys with her. She slept all night on her dog bed."

To meet this very special girl, please email:
placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org
