Orion's Story

Orion (aka Gentle Giant, Hunk of Love, Big Mush) is as sweet as they come! This big boy doesn’t realize his size and if you're on the floor, your lap is fair game! Despite his robust 90lbs of love, he thinks he is a lap dog and you can't tell him otherwise!

Sadly, after spending nearly his entire life with a family, he pulled the short straw in a divorce and ended up in rescue due to a lack of time available for him.

Orion has all the basics under his belt. He is house and crate trained but questions the real need for a crate as it is not his favorite place to be! Leash walks are a breeze, but don't expect him to complete half marathons...he has a couch and a nap to get back to! He is well aware and will make it known he was built for looks, NOT for speed! Orion has basic obedience and is well mannered. He doesn't even attempt to jump on the bed at night(maybe due to his size inhibiting him?); he is perfectly content sleeping on the floor near by!

Orion is thoroughly enjoying his time with the kids and canine companions in his foster home! His previous owner mentioned he was friendly around cats. After his (short spurt of) morning zoomies with his canine friends, he leisurely takes on the rest of his day with a nap or two. Outings are a highlight to his day, though! He is always up for a trip to a kid's baseball game or practice. He quickly has learned this guarantees attention and lovin'. This guy has quickly taken to being the center of attention and has no regrets! He happily will soak up all the attention he can get!

Orion is being fostered in Jacksonville, FL.
