OREO's Story

Meet Oreo 🖤🤍

Oreo’s story started a little rough. She and her sister, Cookie, were found one morning tucked away in a dog house in someone’s backyard—scared, unsure, and in need of lots of love and care. When they first arrived at the shelter, the two clung tightly to each other, clearly used to facing the world side by side.

Oreo was the more timid of the pair at first, always looking to her sister for reassurance before taking a step forward. But with time, patience, and plenty of TLC, Oreo has truly come into her own—and now she’s blossomed into a confident, playful girl who has taken on the role of pack leader!

This sweet girl has a fun-loving personality and a BIG love for water. Whether it’s a hose, a splash, or just goofing around, Oreo is happiest when she’s getting wet and having fun. She also loves a good game of tug-of-war and is very treat-motivated, which makes her eager to learn and please. Oreo is kennel trained and enjoys showering her people with kisses.

Oreo does well with other dogs, older children, and even cats, making her a wonderful addition to many types of homes. She’s come such a long way from the shy little pup she once was, and now she’s ready to find a family who will continue to help her shine.

Oreo is looking for her forever home—one filled with love, patience, and maybe even a water hose or two!

If you’re interested in meeting Oreo, please contact Boonville Animal Control Shelter:
📍 1560 E.
