Ophelia's Story
Name: Ophelia
Age 7 months
Weight: 11 lbs

OPHELIA was rescued from Dead Dog Beach in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico. Our team brought her to our Sanctuary for medical care, socializing, and healing. Ophelia has been doing great ever since she was brought in, and she's now ready for a forever home!

Our staff reports that Ophelia is a high-energy, rambunctious brindle goofball! Her perfect home will be with a family that can prioritize activity, whether that be via long walks, playtime in the park, hiking, or any other adventures you can think of. She also loves mental stimulation, so if enrichment games are your favorite thing, you can count Ophelia in!

Because Ophelia was originally found starving, she is still learning to trust that she'll get her next meal. With time, patience, and training, that trust can definitely be built. For going the extra mile to tire out this energetic, affectionate puppy and continue to teach her household skills and reassure her that she's safe, Ophelia will thank you for the rest of her days with all her love and devotion.

We are hoping to fly Ophelia to the NJ tri-state area in mid-February, so get your application in for this perfect sato today.

To Adopt:
Fill out an application at thesatoproject.org/applicationform.
Questions?
Email us at adoption@thesatoproject.org

About The Sato Project:
The Sato Project has been working hard since 2011 to rescue and rehabilitate the stray dogs of Puerto Rico, known locally as “satos.” To date, we’ve saved over 8,000 dogs and are committed to stopping the overpopulation crisis with spay/neuter and vaccination programs. Your adoption helps us continue this vital work.
