Ophelia's Story
Ophelia is a 9-month-old, 22 lb brindle puppy rescued from Dead Dog Beach in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico. She came to our Sanctuary in need of medical care, nourishment, and time to heal, and she has been thriving ever since. Ophelia is now ready to find her forever home.

Ophelia is a high-energy, playful, and rambunctious pup with a fun, goofy personality. She would do best with an active family that can prioritize daily exercise and enrichment, such as long walks, park outings, hiking, or other adventures. She also enjoys mental stimulation and does well with enrichment games and learning activities.

Because Ophelia was found starving, she is still learning to trust that her needs will be met, particularly around food. With patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement, this trust can be built over time. In return, Ophelia offers affection, loyalty, and a deep bond with her people.

Ophelia flew from Puerto Rico in February and has been thriving at her foster home in New Jersey. Your adoption helps us continue this vital work.
