Opal's Story

At just 13 weeks old, Opal is pretty close to perfect! This little mixed breed girl may have some Shih Tzu in her mix, but whatever her family tree looks like, we know one thing for sure, she’s absolutely precious!

Opal is crate trained and working on her house training. She’s dog friendly, kid friendly, and ready to learn all the things a growing puppy needs to know. We’re not sure how she feels about cats just yet. Opal would love a best friend to play with in her new home. Opal loves to be with her person and is not a huge fan of being left alone just yet.

Opal recently had to get a little haircut because her coat was matted. Now she’s ready for a fresh start and a family who will help her look and feel her best! Her new family will need to commit to regular professional grooming, likely every 4–6 weeks, to keep her coat healthy, comfortable, and mat free.

Like all puppies, Opal would benefit from positive reinforcement training to help her grow into a confident, well mannered adult. Puppies are adorable, but they also take time, patience, consistency, and plenty of love!

If you’re looking for a sweet little sidekick to share life’s adventures with, Opal might just be your girl!

Opal is current on age appropriate vaccines and prevention and is microchipped. Her adoption fee is $350. She will be adopted on a spay contract. To meet Opal, please submit an application at www.k9kindnessrescue.org/adopt. As a reminder, we are not a shelter location and require a scheduled meet and greet.

Adopters must live within 175 miles of the Quad Cities. All pets currently in the home must be routinely kept up to date on shots, prevention and fixed to be approved for adoption.
