This gentle giant is dog-friendly and enjoys the company of other dogs, but he may need a little guidance when it comes to understanding his size and strength.<br/><br/>Onyx was recently surrendered when his family added a puppy to the home and found they could no longer manage. Because of this, he's had a major change in his life and is looking for a calm, stable home where he can decompress and rebuild his confidence.<br/><br/>Onyx needs a home with a securely fenced yard where he can safely stretch his legs, explore, and enjoy time outdoors. A fenced yard will help set him up for success while he adjusts to his new surroundings.<br/><br/>He is a very sweet boy who just needs time, patience, and consistency as he adjusts to his new environment. Onyx would do best in a home with Great Dane experience, where his people understand the needs of a large breed dog and can help set him up for success.<br/><br/>With the right guidance, Onyx is sure to shine. This blood test checks for diseases such as Lyme and Heartworm Disease that are transmitted to dogs from a tick or mosquito bite. If the dog you are interested in tests positive for any of these conditions, treatment will already have been started or completed.
