Ollie (Reduced Rover)'s Story
OLLIE - Your Adventure Buddy with Opinions

Meet Ollie, a 5-year-old Alaskan Malamute/Husky mix weighing in at 81 pounds of confidence, charm, and go-go-go enthusiasm. Ollie is the kind of dog who believes walks are for walking-not lingering conversations. Once he's moving, he's fantastic on leash and clearly in his element.

Ollie recently strutted his stuff at the Barkus Parade with Take Paws Rescue and handled it like a pro. Waiting around before kickoff made him a little antsy (relatable), but once the parade started, he was all smiles-soaking up attention, pets, and treats from admirers like a seasoned public figure.

He was surrendered through no fault of his own due to housing changes, and now he's thriving in doggy daycare, where he confidently surveys the scene and settles in with ease. Ollie is house trained, crate trained, and knows his commands, making him a great partner for someone who appreciates a dog with both brains and presence.

Ollie is affectionate, loyal, and protective in a steady, reassuring way. He'd love a home with another confident, similarly sized dog to share adventures with. Small dogs and cats aren't his cup of tea, and due to his size and enthusiasm, he's best suited for a home with adults or older children.

Ollie is happiest when life includes movement, purpose, and a person he can stick close to. If you're looking for a dog who's ready for walks, outings, companionship, and a little daily adventure-Ollie is ready to clock in as your best co-pilot.

Ready to meet him?
PLEASE READ BELOW:

If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting, the first step is to complete an application and read all of our FAQs:

https://www.takepawsrescue.org/adopt

Please note: Information to determine if you might be a match for one of our animals can only be found on our application.
*An inquiry, questions or introduction through Petfinder is NOT an application*
All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention.
For more on this, or for additional information, including the adoption process and our adoption fee scale for all our adoptable pets (including an explanation about Benefactor Dogs), please see our FAQs page:

https://www.takepawsrescue.org/faq

Any breed labels used by Take Paws Rescue, its employees/volunteers, or on vet records provided cannot be guaranteed.
