Ollie (I love playing fetch!)'s Story

For serious adoption inquiries, please email us at info@tfpf.org
to request an application. Kindly note that we are not accepting phone calls at this time. Ollie is currently being fostered in Southern California, but we are willing to travel to Northern California for the right forever home with an experienced adopter.

**

Ollie is a two-year old Malti-Chon (Maltese–Bichon Frise mix) with a soft white coat and a heart full of love to give. He was rescued by The Fuzzy Pet Foundation (TFPF) after an elderly woman—who had purchased him from a breeder—realized she could not meet the needs of a growing puppy.

Much of Ollie’s early life was spent in isolation, confined to a garage, often fed scraps or sweets like ice cream, and rarely walked or mentally stimulated. While he was never physically abused, he was sadly neglected by someone who did not understand the needs of a puppy.

Today, Ollie’s resilient spirit shines. Now in foster care, he is thriving—affectionate, playful, curious, and full of life. He follows his people from room to room, loves to snuggle, and enjoys a good game of fetch. He gets along beautifully with other small dogs and is even fine around cats. Non-reactive and gentle, Ollie truly does not have a mean bone in his body. At about 14 pounds, he’s the perfect size for cuddles on the couch or adventures outdoors.

Ollie is fully potty-trained and a quick learner, especially with praise and consistency. He thrives in a calm, safe environment where he can continue to build confidence and flourish.

Because of his sensitive past, Ollie will do best in a nurturing, stable home without young, rambunctious children who might overwhelm or accidentally injure him. We are seeking adopters who are age-appropriate for a young, active dog and who have the time, energy, and commitment to meet his daily exercise and enrichment needs. Preference will be given to those with a strong record of responsible pet ownership, including consistent veterinary and grooming care.

Ollie is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and in excellent health. He is ready for a lifetime of love, belly rubs, and cozy naps with someone who will never forget him again.

If you’re looking for a devoted companion who will adore you with all his heart, Ollie is waiting. Please email us at info@TFPF.org to request an application form.

The Fuzzy Pet Foundation's Adoption Policy
Our Thorough Adoption Process ? At The Fuzzy Pet Foundation (TFPF), we take the responsibility of finding the best homes for our animals very seriously. Our adoption process is designed to ensure the safety and well-being of every cat and dog. Here are the steps involved: (1) Application: Each prospective adopter must fill out a detailed application. (2) Reference Check: We contact provided references to learn more about the adopter's experience and suitability. (3) Phone Call: We have a conversation to discuss expectations and answer any questions. (4) Home Visit: A home visit is conducted to ensure a safe environment for the pet. (5) Adoption Contract and Fee: Once approved, an adoption contract is signed to finalize the process, and the adoption fee will be collected. ? A Few Important Reminders ? ?? Respect and Kindness: We are a group of working professionals running TFPF as a volunteer-driven organization. We pour our hearts and souls into caring for these animals. Please be respectful and kind in your communications with us. ?? Patience: Our animals are in individual foster homes. Please do not demand to see them immediately or on the same day. We need time to thoroughly screen each application. Remember, we do not adopt out on a first-come, first-served basis. ?? Adoption Fees: These fees help cover a fraction of the expenses for vet care, housing, and supplies. Our adoption fee is generally 1/10 of what we incur. Please do not negotiate these fees as though you're bargaining for a bag of fruit. If you cannot afford the basic adoption fee, we advise against adopting, as vet bills and pet care expenses are significant everywhere. ?? Living Beings: Our animals are living, sentient beings. We ask for your understanding and patience as we work to find them the most loving and responsible homes. ? Zero Tolerance Policy: We will not tolerate rude, disrespectful, or entitled behavior, including "nasty grams" or aggressive emails. Thank you for your understanding and support. Together, we can find these wonderful animals the loving homes they deserve!
