Ollie's Story

Meet Ollie

Ollie is a sensitive 2‑year‑old Shih Tzu who came to us when his breeder made the decision to downsize. He’s a very pretty little guy with striking black and white fur, and a gentle soul that’s still learning what life outside of a breeding environment looks like.

Ollie is okay with being picked up and petted, though he can be nervous and a bit unsure at first. He doesn’t seek out constant attention, but once he feels safe, he allows affection and clearly wants to trust. He does best when things are calm, predictable, and unhurried.

One thing that brings Ollie a lot of comfort is being around other dogs. He seems to flourish with canine companionship and often takes confidence from watching and following their lead. For this reason, a home with a friendly, well‑adjusted dog would be wonderful for him.

Ollie is looking for a quiet, low‑key home, ideally without young children, where he can continue to build confidence at his own pace. He’ll do best with patient adopters who understand that some dogs need time — and that progress, no matter how small, is worth celebrating.

With consistency, kindness, and the right environment, Ollie has all the potential to become a loyal and loving companion.

If you’re someone who appreciates the quieter moments and believes in letting a dog unfold in their own time, Ollie may be the perfect match for you.

He will come neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested..

If you are serious about adoption, please fill out the adoption application on our website:
www.phoenixanimalrescue.com
Adoption fee: $500

Phoenix Animal Rescue
Chester Springs, PA
Kennel License #5152
