Ollie's Story

8/4/25-Are you looking for a dog that's sweet as honey? If so, Ollie may be perfect for you! Just take a minute to listen to what he has to say:

Hi everyone, my name is Ollie. I came to All Creatures back in November after being in a shelter in WV for over a month with the rest of my family. They say I'm a Pointer mix and super sweet, but my true family just hasn't found me yet.

I'm a really good boy, but like to stick to my schedule. I'm used to going outside, going in my crate and even having a playtime at certain times throughout the day. Though I may never be a social butterfly, I know I can be the best boy if I had a family of my own (despite already stealing my foster families hearts!) I am a lover not a fighter, house trained, crate trained and am looking for my forever people.

In my downtime, I LOVE to snuggle and I LOVE to play. I have a doggie big brother to show me the ropes and helps bring out my true personality. I would love to find a home with another dog or two to hang out with, learn from and seek companionship with.

I would do best with a fenced yard since I am scared when meeting new people or when it comes to loud noises. When things get too scary, I go to my safe space and wait for the noise to subside. I would do best in a home that doesn't have too much commotion where I can take some time to settle in, make friends and be a pup.

Although it will break my fosters heart to see me go, their goal is to get me in to a good loving home so they can help save the next dog in need!

Due to his size and age, foster to adopt requirements are:

•Living within 80 miles of Adams, NY.
•Having previous/current pets in annually at a local veterinary office and up to date on vaccines as well as spay/neutered.
•Being able to bring him back to our vets office in Adams if additional care is needed prior to adoption. After adoption, we recommend taking them to your current vet to be established.
•Playful dogs in the home would be ideal, since he would like another dog or two to hang out with.
•Quiet homes with children over 12 years old should be ok due to his current size (35#) and activity level
•Willing to have current family members come to a meet and greet to meet the pet and be sure an acceptable match.
•Having time available to care for, socialize and start the training of a new pet.

An adoption donation of $500 is being asked for Ollie if you choose to adopt, but fostering is free. He had his initial vet check, is neutered, current on vaccines, dewormings and prescription flea and tick medication.

Please help us to continue helping those that knock on our doors! He is now ~6 months old and 25# and he will probably stay under 40# full grown.

Ollie is a lover boy!! He is house trained, crate trained and is looking for his forever home. Ollie LOVES to snuggle and he also loves to play, he is good for the soul.

His fosters have a fenced yard, he goes out, plays, does his business and comes back when called. He has his routine and tends to stick to it which makes him a quick learner.

Due to his rough start early in life, Ollie is skiddish when it comes to loud noises. He goes to his safe space and waits for the noise to subside and enjoys being comforted by his person in the meantime. He really is a good boy but needs a little extra to help him cope with new things.

Ollie is awesome with his foster families lab, they play hard and then they snuggle.
In fact, the only thing Ollie's likes as much as human cuddles, is dog cuddles. He is truley a dog pal and he's looking for a bestie to show him the ropes, maybe play tug of war with said ropes, then crash out on a dog bed and be ready to do it all again in a few hours.

It's time for Ollie to find a permanant home of his own, maybe yours?

Due to his size and age, foster to adopt requirements are:

•Living within 80 miles of Adams, NY.
•Having previous/current pets in annually at a local veterinary office and up to date on vaccines as well as spay/neutered.
•Being able to bring him back to our vets office if additional care is needed.
•Likesized dogs should be ok, depending on a meet and greet.
•Homes with children over 10 years old should be ok but will depend on a meet and greet.
•Willing to have current family members come to a meet and greet to meet the pet and be sure an acceptable match.
•Having time available to care for, socialize and start the training of a new pet.

An adoption donation of $500 is being asked for Ollie, if you choose to adopt, but fostering is free. He had his vet check, is current on vaccines and external parasite treatment and he has been neutered!

Please help us to continue helping those that knock on our doors!

To apply to adopt, fill out the form below!
https://form.jotform.com/Meowchatz/pet-adoption-application-form

12/5/24

Holly, Mollie and Ollie are ready for foster to adopt homes!

This sweet trio came to us about one month ago from another shelter, where they had no interest, were scared and suffering from some health issues.

We've taken time to get them into better health and now we'd really like to get them out of boarding and in to homes so they can really start their new lives

They are likley some sort of Jack Russel Terrier or Feist mix ~5 months old and 15-20# at this time. Molly is the smallest at just 15# while Ollie and Holly are nearly 20# at thia time. We think they will be ~30-35# full grown. They are all sweet but shy so they would benefit from TLC, socialization and starting some training in new foster or foster to adopt homes. Please help us to get them into homes for the holidays

Can you find it in your heart and home to show these sweet souls that their lives matter??? Fill out our jotform applocation today to foster or foster to adopt!

They have not been child or cat tested but since they are mostly puppies, we do not think this will be an issue. Due to their size, children over 5 years old will be recommended at this time until we get to know them better. A foster to adopt radius of 80 miles is required in case they will need follow-up up care at our veterinarians office prior to adoption We think they deserve a chance, don't you?

Apply to foster to adopt: https://form.jotform.com/Meowchatz/pet-adoption-application-form

Apply to foster only: https://form.jotform.com/Meowchatz/foster-application--acbs

11/15/24
Foster to adopt homes needed!

Everyone meet a few of our Southern babies that came up on a recent transport from WV. Ollie, Holly and Molly are part of a litter of puppies that had been in a southern shelter in WV for a month already . In order to give them a chance at a new life and a new home, we pulled them from the shelter that was at a "code red" state (ready to euthanize for space).

They are shy but happy and sweet pups ready to start their journey to new homes and new lives. We believe they are probably Pointer mixes, 4.5 months old and under 20#. They will likley be about 30-40# full grown. The pups will take a little while to warm up to people but have tails tucked and waggin the whole time. They are cuddlers when picked up and burrow right in to your neck if you try and befriend them. They are looking for foster or foster to adopt homes and will need work on confidence building, housebreaking and leash training in the home.

Once ready for adoption, an adoption donation of $500 is being asked to cover a portion of their veterinary and care fees, but fostering is free. They have been examined, vaccinated, treated for intestinal and external parasites and will soon be spay/neutered.

Due to their size and age, foster to adopt requirements are:
-Living within 80 miles of Adams, NY to continue their vetting as needed in the upcoming weeks.
-Having previous/current pets in annually at a local veterinary office and up to date on vaccines as well as spay/neutered.
-They should do fine with dogs and cats in the home due to their current temperament and smaller size
-Like all pups, they will need a little patience and consistency at home so they can grow into the best pups they can be
-Homes with children over 8 years old should be ok since they are very sweet pups
-Willing to have current dogs/family members come to a meet and greet to meet the pet and be sure they are an acceptable match.
-Having time available to care for, socialize and start training of a new pet.

Apply to foster to adopt today! https://form.jotform.com/Meowchatz/pet-adoption-application-form

All Creatures Big And Small, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
All animals accepted into our program are in volunteer foster homes. Since we don't have a shelter building, meet and greets are arranged after an application has been approved. The first step in our adoption process is filling out an adoption application and calling your current/previous veterinarian to say it's ok to release veterinary information to us. Within 48 hours of receiving the application, we will do the veterinary reference check and contact you for additional information and to do a phone interview. If all goes well, a meet and greet is scheduled. All family members must come to the meet and greet (including dogs) to make sure it is a good match and everyone is on board to adopt a new pet. If it is decided that the pet is a good match, an adoption can be done at that time and the pet can go home with you All adopters must live within 500 miles of Lacona, NY. We will not ship pets and all family members, including dogs, must travel to the adoption to be sure the pets and family are good with the potential new adoption.
