Ollie's Story

Meet Ollie, a 3.5 year old Australian Shepherd looking for a home that understands her breed and is ready to help her shine. Ollie came to rescue after being surrendered by her previous owner, and she is now searching for a fresh start with someone committed to giving her the structure, activity, and guidance she needs.

Ollie is an active, intelligent girl who thrives when she has both physical exercise and mental stimulation. She would do best in a home that can keep her busy with walks, playtime, training, enrichment activities, or even dog sports. Aussies are working dogs at heart, and Ollie is no exception.

In her previous home, Ollie struggled with some behavioral challenges, including resource guarding around food. Because of this, she will need an experienced and patient adopter willing to continue positive reinforcement training and provide proper management as she adjusts. With consistency and the right environment, Ollie has so much potential to succeed.

Since entering foster care, Ollie has been living with both dogs and cats and has been doing well. She does occasionally chase the cats, but she has never harmed them. She enjoys having canine companionship and continues to make progress every day.

Ollie is looking for a home that will see beyond her past and invest in the amazing dog she can become. She is smart, energetic, and eager for a chance at a stable, loving forever family.
