Meet Ollie

Please contact Bill Hahn (BillH@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.Young boy ISO love and fresh start! OLLIE NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!
Name: Ollie Best Guess for Breed: Retriever Mix

Best Guess for Age: 1 year as of March 2024 SEX: Male

Approximate Weight: 47 lbs

Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen Ollie with cats or kids, but he can be tested.

Currently Living at: South Carolina shelter

Special adoption considerations: Ollie is a truly Lucky Dog. Although he has tested positive for heartworms, treatment has been scheduled! Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites. Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative. Heartworm dogs can resume full active and normal lives, but need to be kept calm for 4-6 weeks after treatment. We are happy to talk more in depth about heartworm disease and treatment during the screening process.

Ollie is Looking For: His forever family! This sweet pup hasn't seen nearly enough of the world yet. He's eager to experience new places, people, and pups! Long sniffy walks, romps in the park, all the adventures his new humans can dream up - yes, please! And definitely play time and lots of snuggles too! Ollie has also added 'variety of toys, quality kibble, and cushy dog bed' to his wish list. Dog school would be great, too, so he can show how super smart he is.But what Ollie wants most of all is to know he's safe and loved and under his own roof. In exchange, he promises loyal companionship, adoring gazes, and tail wags. What do you say? Is Ollie the one you have been seeking?
