Meet Ollie

Hi, my name is Ollie! Here is what would work best for me in my new home:

-Personality: Silly, social, happy-go-lucky, loving, big goof!
-Can Live with Kids: No, Ollie needs an adult only home due to his bite history.
-Can Live with Cats: Yes, with slow, supervised introduction. According to his previous owners, Ollie grew up with cats and even seems to think he is one- he loves to sit on the back of the couch-- the cat taught him that :)
-Can Live with Dogs: Ollie is dog-selective and ideally will be the only dog in his home to set him up to succeed, as he has been willing to fight resulting in puncture bites in the past. He may be able to live with a very specific dog in the home of a very experienced adopter, at the discretion of the adoption counselor. Please ask staff for more details.
-Can do Apartment Living: Yes
-Potty Trained: Yes
-Bite History: Yes - ask staff for more details
-Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: Yes - 3 private lessons with positive-reinforcement trainer
-Energy Level: Medium
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: No
-Additional Information: Ollie is the sweetest, silliest lil pup you'll ever meet! Ollie was adopted as a puppy to a family who loved him very much, but unfortunately used severe punishment-based training methods which resulted in Ollie biting one of the owners. While he is super sweet and social, it is clear that he is a little unsure of what's expected of him, and always keeping an eye out for any potential threats (he grew up learning that any behavior deemed "unwanted" by his handler will result in a painful, high-voltage shock). Ollie just wants to love and be loved, and be treated with kindness, compassion, and tenderness for the rest of his days! He would thrive in a home with a steady, predictable routine with humans who can invest in his future using affection not correction.
