What kind of home would be best for me? Oliver's former owner is dealing with an illness in the home to the point that she could no longer care for him in the loving manner both she, and Oliver, came to expect. Oliver's former owner made the most agonizing, and loving decision one can make. She returned Oliver to us and prays he that he will find a new loving home. Even after being taken from his home Oliver remains a happy-go-lucky-boy. He will do well in an apartment or home. Oliver would thrive in a home with children who can run and play with him but would also do well in a senior's home if a daily walk or two is provided. You can tell he longs to return to a home where he can sleep in a bed and be someone's beloved companion. Oliver would do well with another dog, preferably his buddy Doozier who was returned with him, although he would do fine as an only dog. Oliver is also good with cats inside, but if they show him who's boss he can be afraid of them.

What is my personality like? Oliver's former owner noted, he is very loving and doesn't have a mean bone in his body. He's a happy guy. We here at CPR found he hasn't changed. Oliver is a sweet, well mannered guy. He loves people, other dogs and generally just enjoys life. According to his former owner he doesn't like vacuum cleaners and any loud noise will set him to running.

Oliver is enjoying his time here at CPR, it's like sleep-away camp for him, but soon he will want to go to his forever home. Oliver will be at his happiest once he's added to your loving home and family. We'll let his former owner wrap this up - He's a good loving dog that loves to eat, play and most of all, go on walks. He would be perfect for just about anyone.

How do I act when I first meet new people? Oliver is extremely friendly and will jump up at times demanding attention and pets. This charming guy deserves them. Oliver just wants to have fun.

Other tips and tidbits: Oliver rides great in the car. His birthday is 1/21/2013 according to our vet's estimate.

House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
