This sweet little guy was surrendered to a shelter, and we were contacted to help, and after a bit of foster dog juggling we were able to makle room ( he is small after all) we said yes.</p><br/><br/><p data-start="252" data-end="511">Oliver is a French Bulldog and is estimated to be around a year and a half old and is already well on his way to a healthy, happy future. He is fully vaccinated, heartworm negative (and yes, we ran that test twice just to be sure!), microchipped, dewormed, and on heartworm and flea prevention.</p><br/><br/><p data-start="513" data-end="706">He was neutered and had his nare and soft palate surgery on April 22, 2026. This is a very common procedure for this breed and will make a world of difference to him when it comes to breathing much better.</p><br/><br/><p data-start="708" data-end="780">Now let's talk about something very important when it comes to Oliver.</p><br/><br/><p data-start="782" data-end="1166">Because he is a French Bulldog, we do have a strict requirement that his adopter must have experience with the breed (or a similar breed such as an English Bulldog). These dogs are incredibly special but they also come with unique medical and care needs. Dogs like Oliver often come to us in rough condition, requiring extensive (and expensive) medical care to get them healthy again.</p><br/><br/><p data-start="1168" data-end="1467">Once we've done everything possible to give them a fresh start, it would not be in their best interest to place them in a home without breed experience.
