Oliver's Story

Meet the distinguished gentleman, Oliver.
Oliver is a very playful and affectionate pup. He will come to you often for belly scratches and cuddles and loves the attention. He’s very vocal when he plays and gets very excited but just be careful your fingers are not in the way!

He loves his balls but can get a little possessive with his toys. He can get a bit nippy if you try and pick him up or if handled in a way he doesn’t like but will come to you when he wants to be picked up.

He absolutely loves his walks and gets quite excited but still needs work. He gets along with the pups in his Foster home, but seems to prefer to spend his time with his humans. When play happens with all the pups together, he’s mostly plays along side of them (not with them) running up and down the hallway with his ball.

He knows basic commands like sit, paw, down and has learned to accept his treats gently. Patience and consistency with love and assurance will get you far with this little man!

**Oliver has a dental scheduled for April 10th with Rivers Animal Hospital**

If you feel Oliver could be a great match for you, please complete an adoption application on our website www.hullshaven.org. Hull's Haven Border Collie Rescue's Adoption Policy
For Border Collies, HHBCR has strict guidelines for adopting this breed. Border Collies are extremely high energy, high intelligence dogs. They are known as "The Einsteins of the Dog World". That being said, they are also a breed that has many bizarre and peculiar behaviours. They can be obsessive compulsive, very focused and many have the deep rooted need to herd. They will herd cats, other dogs and children. This can cause a problem in families with small kids. For other breeds, HHBCR will similarly ensure that guidelines are followed suitable for that breed. While each dog has its very own unique personality, one must seriously research the breed before deciding to bring one into their home. For this reason, Hull's Haven will have many questions for any prospective adopter, and reserves the right to refuse anyone deemed unsuitable. HHBCR's adoption fee ($400 for puppies $400 for small breeds, $350 for most medium/large breeds, and $250for se
