Olive's Story

Olive is a sweet, laid back girl who loves peace and quiet. She sleeps soundly in her crate through the night and during work hours, though shes also trustworthy when left out and doesnt get into trouble.

Olive must go to a home with another dog. A calm, confident canine companion would help show her the ropes and build her confidence. Her dog sibling doesnt need to be playfulOlive simply finds comfort and security in the presence of another dog. Without that companionship, she becomes very withdrawn and fearful.

She has also been cat-tested and passed with flying colors. Olive is slowly discovering the joys of being a dog, including learning what squeaky toys are and how much fun they can be!

Olive will thrive with a confident, experienced, and understanding adopter who can push her to learn that new experiences arent something to fear. Like many dogs who come from puppy mill environments, Olive missed out on important early life experiences and is still learning how to navigate the world outside of a barn. Her new family should also have some type of fencing as she continues building her confidence on leash and around people.

She has already come so far, and with time, love, and patience, Olive will continue to blossom into the happy, confident dog she deserves to be.

Brindle Buddies and Friends's Adoption Policy
All dogs are up to date on shots including rabies, microchipped, tested for heartworm and treated if needed, treated for worms (please note we do recommend taking a fecal sample to your vet as we use simple deworming) and also treated for fleas. All dogs are sent home with matching martingale collar and leash. We do recommend keeping the martingale on as they should not back out of these collars. Adoption fees range from $500 to $750. All animals in the household must be spay or neutered and up to date on shots. If you rent we will need to see proof that you can have animals. We do not adopt bully breeds out to renters.

Our Mission
We are a small 501c3 non profit group helping dogs find furever homes. Most of our dogs come from high kill shelters from the south. Our dogs are all in foster homes with other dogs, some with kids and cats. With our dogs being in foster care we can tell you how they are in the home.
