Olive's Story

Hi my name is Olive! My siblings and I were found dumped, with our mom, off Taylor Flatts in January 2023. It's estimated that we were born November 22, 2022. We were saved by Mikey's Chance. I've since been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. My best friends are dogs and a tiny human. Men can be a little scary for me but with some patience, time, and probably some cheese I'll come around. It's not entirely clear what breed(s) I am but Shepherd mix is what I'm called. I'm an exuberant player and would do best in a home with a yard, 6ft fence, and at least one other canine friend. I'm crate trained, potty trained, and was raised with dog savvy cats. Napping is a favorite past time of mine when I'm not romping in the yard. Treats aren't a great motivator for me but I'm a fast learner and do well with direction and routine. Mikey's Chance Canine Rescue's Adoption Policy

If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, please visit Mikeyschance.com to find out about our adoption procedures. We do not have a central facility where you can meet our dogs, because they are in foster homes. Once you have been approved to adopt a dog we will gladly arrange for you to meet any dogs that are potentially a good fit for your home. We carefully review each application and place dogs based on a variety of criteria. Ultimately, we will always act in the best interest of the dog. We will conduct a background check on each adult living in the home. We will contact your vet. Mikey’s Chance also conducts home-checks to assure the best possible placement of all our rescue animals. PLEASE NOTE: It is our policy to only adopt to homes where the current pets: Are up to date on vaccinations; Have been either spayed or neutered; and Have received routine veterinary care. Applications that do not meet this policy shall be denied.
