He is serene, beautiful, curious, and relatively quiet- he loves to play! He just has a calm presence. Odysseus is young and once he trusts his surroundings, he's adaptable. He adores his sister and a confident dog would be a good friend for him. Sometimes he gets a little nervous when he knows you want to pick him up. He does better when you spend a minute rubbing his belly and ears, then pick him up! <br/><br/>He truly just makes everyones heart throb. He is just a sweet boy looking for a kind, furever home. He is is working on his leash and potty training and doing well! He does well with kids and is already crate trained!<br/><br/>He is being fostered in Richmond, VA and is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, has been dewormed, and is on monthly preventatives. His adoption fee is $375 and covers the cost of age-appropriate core vaccinations, microchip, and required neuter when age-appropriate. We require that all adopters, regardless of the dogs age, are committed to ongoing training and socialization as part of responsible ownership. We require adopters to be within a reasonable distance of Richmond or Virginia Beach in order to complete spay/neuter with our approved clinics.<br/><br/>Note: Sending a Petfinder inquiry is not submitting an application. We require a completed adoption application to move forward with adoption.<br/><br/>Beagles and Bentleys has an across-the-board evaluative process that we apply to every application we review that prioritizes our animals in need. We conduct a vet reference check (all resident dogs must be altered/up to date on DHPP/rabies and monthly preventatives, and cats must be altered and up to date on rabies) and a virtual home visit call where we discuss the adoption process and see your home.
