Odie's Story

Hi! My name is Odie. I am a 7 year old Poodle mix weighing in at 20lbs. I have long legs and a handsome prance when I walk. Foster mommy tells me I’m handsome so it must be true right?!

I am the sweetest, gentle little boy. I absolutely love attention from humans. I sit at foster mommy’s feet and just stare into her eyes. I do sometimes jump up and put my front feet on her but I am SO careful, she barely feels me touching her. I would make an amazing companion for pretty much any family!

I love kids! Like really love them, so I would love some kiddos in my new home pretty please. Or at least some that visit or some I can see on walks in the neighborhood! I coexist with other dogs but I don’t play with them. So other dogs are fine as long as they aren’t too hyper or pester me. I do fantastic with cats.

I walk well on a leash. I am a normal doggie and do get excited so sometimes I pull but nothing bad. I redirect really well if I tug, foster mommy just calls me back to her side. I do get anxious in the car, I’m not used to it yet. I fuss and move around a bit, so I need a little training with it but I promise I’m super smart! I love doing anything my humans ask of me, I just love them so much!

I am working on potty training, I do sometimes pee inside. I don’t have to have a fenced yard, I can live where I go out on a leash. I rarely want to be away from my human!! I need someone that is home often or that can take me with them most places. I love to snuggle at night with foster mommy in bed! It’s so comfy and warm. I also love sleeping in fluffy dog beds.

Odie is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, current on heartworm preventative (he did test negative for heartworm disease), and current on flea/tick preventative. If he sounds like a match for you, please fill out an adoption application using the URL below:

Bit.ly/WHASadoptionapplication

Odie’s adoption fee is $350.

***Please note, Willow Haven Animal Sanctuary is a foster based rescue.
