Octavius's Story

Octavius is one of the bad cases that our partners at Tucker k9 search and rescue caught and asked us to take him. And as you know we don't shy away from dogs in need. Within hours we took him to our vet where we did a rabies a heartworm test and a microchip. We shaved him down and gave a bath. We cut off an old collar and flea collar that looked like it had been on for years. He had millions of flea eggs and pounds of matting. Despite this he let us handle him for everything even blood draws. The bad news is that he is high heartworm positive. We’ve named this guy Octavius! He’s middle aged and quiet as a mouse. We think Octavius maybe a Lhasa apso and is about 15 pounds. So now let’s get him in a foster home where he can relax and learn to love life on the inside!

Please apply at www.peanutsplacerescue.org
click application scroll down till it appears.Text 7046509653 if already approved.
