Meet Obsidian, the sweet, velvety beauty of the Red Dirt Quarry! Obsidian has a gorgeous black coat with subtle brindle accents and the softest fur you will ever feel. She is a highly affectionate girl who absolutely melts for pets and extra loving, but she also possesses a nice, mature independent streak and is perfectly happy playing with toys on her own. Obsidian loves her siblings and is a massive fan of frozen pumpkin treats! Like many puppies who had to scavenge before being rescued, Obsidian is currently working on her food manners and learning that she doesn't have to protect her bowl. She is a bright, loving girl who will make a deeply loyal companion for someone ready to continue her basic puppy training.

Helpless Hounds Dog Rescue's Adoption Policy
For a complete list of our adoption criteria, please visit: https://www.helplesshounds.com/faqs NOTE: You must complete and submit an application and be approved to adopt prior to being able to meet the dog. We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We always try to select the right applicant for each dog, based on the dog’s needs and try to find the best match for both dog and human. We leave a dog’s profile online until either it has been adopted, or has received several applications. We are a non-profit organization that spends our adoption fees and donations on vaccinations, surgeries, various medical tests, medicines, food and supplies needed by our dogs. Our fees do not cover the overall expenses incurred by the care of our dogs, but they do help defray the costs involved. We thank you for your support.
