Obie German Shepherd Dog Mix Discovery Bay, CA

Obie is a young handsome German Shepherd mixed puppy. He has a personality that won't quit. He wants to follow you wherever you go. He loves playing with toys especially a noisy pig toy. Obie will sit for a treat and is learning to give paw and to lie down. He does pretty well walking on a leash with great eye focus.

He is very curious about the foster family's cat so is cat trainable with a dog savy cat. Obie is a typical puppy jumping up on people and dogs so this behavior is being worked on. He is crate and potty trained.

Obie has a tendency to bark at new noises and dogs when walking. We had one of our trainers come out and work with him. The foster family is working with Obie on new techniques. He is a dog that would be happy to be home with you all day. He does play well with other dogs, but can be a little barky when first meeting him. This is one of the things we are working on. He also gets pretty stressed riding in the car so we are doing small trips to help get him over his anxiety.

He is definitely a fun pup, that can be by himself or be by your side.
