Nyla's Story
Meet Nyla! 🐾

At around a year old, Nyla is a beautiful Bernese Mountain Dog/Poodle mix with a whole lot of dog to love! This very large girl has a sweet, playful personality and plenty of energy to keep her future family on their toes. With her Bernese Mountain Dog and Poodle heritage, Nyla may grow into the loyal, people-oriented companion these breeds are often known for, with an active side that would make her a great candidate for adventures, enrichment, and continued training.

Nyla can be sensitive and may need some time to feel comfortable with new people. She'll benefit from a patient adopter who respects her boundaries, allows her to approach at her own pace, and helps her build positive associations with handling and affection. Giving her the choice to engage rather than rushing interactions will help her feel safe and develop trust in her new family.

Nyla seems to enjoy the company of other dogs, but she's still learning how to navigate dog-to-dog interactions and would benefit from continued positive experiences to help build her social skills and confidence. With thoughtful introductions and opportunities to interact at a pace she's comfortable with, she can continue developing these skills. As a young, high-energy girl, she'll also appreciate plenty of physical activity, mental enrichment, and ongoing training to help her become the best companion she can be.

If you're looking for a big, playful girl and are ready to help a young dog grow in confidence, learn new skills, and settle into her new life, Nyla might be the perfect addition to your family!

The NHSPCA Adoption Center is open Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM and Thursday from 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM (closed Wednesdays).
