He is a very energetic dog, loving to run around all over the place when let out of his kennel. He's a happy-go-lucky boy, always looking for things to do and people to hang out with. Vinton County Dog Shelter's Adoption Policy

Please contact us directly by phone 740-596-9285. We would love to set up an appointment for potential pet parents to meet the dogs! Our $35 adoption fee includes: current year dog license, DHLPP vaccines, microchip, flea/tick treatment, wormer, leash and collar. You will also receive an $100 fee waiver for the dog to get spay/neutered at the local veterinarian office.

Our Mission

The Vinton County Dog Shelter strives to provide stray dogs in our county with shelter during the times when they are in need, as well as to adopt out those dogs to the best homes possible.
