Nutmeg Cider's Story

Hi there, I am Nutmeg. I have a speckled coat and am a 2-year-old female doxie mix. I was found as a stray and trusting humans is new to me. Now dogs, I am great with. I love other dogs! Oh and I am also potty trained...I know that is a big plus with humans! I am still very nervous around humans but I find myself wanting to be closer and closer to my foster mom when we hang out on the couch. I know how to use a doggy door now too and let me tell you, it may be one of my favorite things. I was scared at first but once I saw by foster siblings do it, I was brave and tried. I love chasing squirrels, sunbathing, and sitting on the patio steps and looking up at the stars. Once I started to get comfortable in my foster home I learned I love playing with toys! It’s not that I don’t like little kids but I think I would do better in a home without any. I know I would thrive in a home with other dog siblings, a quiet atmosphere, and a new forever mommy or daddy that would be willing to be very patient with me. My foster mom tells me to be patient and that the right forever home will come along and it will be like a match made just for me. I can’t wait for that day!

Please see FAQs for current adoption fees. DDRTX only adopts in Central/South Texas.

Email: ddrtxinfo@gmail.com Primary Website: www.DDRTX.org
