Nugget's Story
Meet Nugget!

Nugget is a 9 month, 45 pound Elkhound/Shepherd mix who is fully vetted and house-trained.

This sweet guy came from living outside in heartbreaking conditions-surrounded by trash and without ever knowing what it meant to feel safe or loved. But thanks to Fido's, Nugget is finally getting his chance.

Understandably, Nugget is shy at first. The world is still a new and sometimes overwhelming place for him. But if you give him a little time, you'll see it-the soft tail wags, the curious glances, the quiet moments where he leans in just a little closer. He wants to trust. He's learning how to be loved, and it's truly beautiful to watch him blossom more each day.

Nugget has never experienced life inside a home before, so things like a crate can feel a bit scary at first. However, he's already learning that it's a safe space and is settling down more and more.

He does great with other dogs and cats, and having a confident canine companion could really help him continue to come out of his shell. Because of his shy nature, Nugget would do best in a calmer home-one without loud or unpredictable young children. Older, respectful kids would be just fine.

Nugget is looking for a patient, confident leader-someone who can gently guide him, show him the world isn't so scary, and help him grow into the dog he was always meant to be.

He may not come bounding up to you right away, but the love he has to give is deep, genuine, and worth every second of patience.

Nugget is ready to discover what it means to finally be someone's dog.

Apply Here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FCOH/Dog

*If you are viewing this profile on Petfinder, please note integration issues between our shelter program and Petfinder often occur and limit what you can see.
