Novak Jack Russell Terrier & Terrier Mix Vienna, ON

Novak is around one year old and a handsome boy! Between his two foster homes he learned it is not so bad being cared for and friendly resident dogs to play with. He does not like to be handled but with patience and structure, schedule’s he is coming along with his foster Mom in leaps and bounds. He has the playful personality of a Jack Russell, loves toys and flips them in the air and does summersaults with them. He is a funny little guy and as puppies are, loves to play with the other dogs. He needs another high energy player. His crate is his safe place, If he feels afraid, he will run to it for safety. He sleeps in his crate all night with the door closed quietly. He also loves to be a couch potato when everything is calm, He is now craving touch but still afraid of it so offering your hand by laying it beside him, he makes the choice to initiate affection, never is he forced to. Slow movement and waiting for him to approach is how he is learning to trust. If someone is eating a snack, he sneaks up quietly and pokes them with his nose wanting a bite. He has progressed to curling up against his foster Mom on the couch, accepting slow movement pet, giving many kisses. He is learning house training and he is taken outside often and he has no accidents. Being so young with patience and understanding he will come along to be a great pet. He
needs another friendly, active dog in the adoptive home to help him learn. He also needs a securely fenced back yard. He would be most comfortable with (dog savvy) adults.
