After being surrendered by her previous owner, she was given the opportunity to travel north and begin the next chapter of her life.<br/><br/>So far, Nova is adjusting well and getting comfortable in her new surroundings. As she decompresses and settles into a routine, her foster family will continue learning more about her personality, preferences, and what type of forever home will be the best fit.<br/><br/>Nova is a sweet, affectionate dog who enjoys attention and has done well with adult dogs and children in the past. For adoption information, please visit www.muttlife.org<br/>__________<br/>Adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter procedure, up-to-date dewormer, vaccinations, heartworm prevention (age appropriate), and certified veterinarian inspection within 30 days of adoption. <br/>__________<br/><br/>Review adoption requirements and ensure you meet the necessary criteria to apply!<br/><br/>https://www.muttlife.org/adoption-policies<br/>_________<br/><br/>ADOPTION PROCESS:<br/>1.) Apply: Fill out an adoption application completely and submit all necessary documents.<br/><br/>2.) Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email.<br/><br/>3.) Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: After approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5-day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure it's the right fit.<br/><br/>4.) Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue.<br/><br/>5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process, we conduct a home visit either in person or via Zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have.<br/><br/>6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: for dogs who are not fixed at the time of adoption, we will reimburse for the procedure once we receive proof of spay/neuter. The procedure MUST be done at HAWS Snip Clinic in Waukesha, WI, or Wisconsin Community Veterinarian Center in Madison, WI. If you would like to go through your veterinarian or another location, we will reimburse $125 once we receive proof of the procedure. We recommend spay/neuter around 6 months old.<br/><br/>**Note: Adoptions are not considered final until the dog is neutered/spayed if applicable**
