Nova

Nova 5 year old spayed female Basset Hound/Rottweiler Mix. 55 pounds.

Nova came to RAWL as an owner surrender. We were told it was due to an adult child's allergy ahem...to Nova.

Nova is very typical of both breeds. Stubborn and opinionated. Also, a bit of a drama queen. Not sure which breed that comes from. Maybe both. She is a fairly well-behaved girl who gets along well with dogs, cats, and kids. However, she isn't a fan of a lot of ear and foot handling; older kids would be best. She is not aggressive when you clean her ears and clip her nails. But she is pretty sure she is going to die from the experience, so it takes a bit of a dog-savvy human to laugh through the drama.

Nova is housebroken and can be trusted in your house. She is a crybaby in a crate. She will pull on the leash if you let her. I found her to be really good on walks once she realized it was not my first rodeo. And heel means heel.

She is pretty boring outside. Likes to go potty and run back in. However, if you like to be outside with her, she will stay out there as long as you do.

Interested in more information about Nova? Please email inforawldogs@gmail.com
Ready to adopt?
