Nova's Story
Nova is a 13 to 14 year old, Heeler. In October 2025, Nova was brought to the shelter after being found as a stray. She is set to be spayed and microchipped soon. For now, though, she is updated on her vaccinations, flea treated, and dewormed.

This fine lady is your typical Heeler. Despite her age, she's very active still and loves to be on the go. She's very much a fan of her walks (so long as the weather is nice, of course).

Nova is deaf and would do best in a home with an experienced dog owner. She would also do best in a home without any young children, but has previously lived in a home with cats. She is housetrained and walks well on a leash.

If you are interested in adopting Nova, please fill out an adoption application using our website (echumanesociety.org) and a member of staff will be in touch with you as soon as possible. You are also more than welcome to stop in anytime during our regular business hours and meet Nova in person. Feel free to call the shelter at (814) 834-3247 if you have any questions.

**Nova is currently being fostered, so if you are interested in meeting her, please call ahead so we can arrange a time and date with her foster family!**
