Nova's Story
Meet Nova

Nova is a 4-year-old mini Bernadoodle with a gentle soul who is learning how to enjoy life outside of a breeding environment. She may be shy at first, but once she feels safe, her sweet personality starts to shine.

Nova has been doing wonderfully in her foster home. She has shown that she can do well with respectful children-she currently lives with kids ages 5 and 9 and has been comfortable around them. She especially bonds closely with her person and absolutely loves curling up on the couch for quiet time together. Men are still something she is unsure of, they can be scary. But she has come a long way and is starting to trust her foster dad. She most recently went up to him for a sniff and a lick! Any men in the home will need to be extra patient with Nova.

One of Nova's favorite things in the world is going for walks. It's when she seems happiest-getting fresh air, exploring, and building confidence with each step. She walks gently on a leash as well. She also loves pork jerky treats. She hasn't quite gotten the hang of toys yet.

Because of her background, Nova will need a secure fenced-in yard to keep her safe as she continues to adjust to the world. She is still learning and can be unsure at times, so a patient home willing to go at her pace is important.

Nova has shown interest in chasing cats during walks, so a home without cats would be the best fit for her. She has done well with other dogs. She ignores the barking during walks and even attempts to play with a local dog as long as she doesn't get in her personal safe space.

She is spayed, on heart worm and flea and tick preventatives and UTD on all vaccines.
She will need regular grooming.

She may not be the dog who rushes up to greet you right away, but for someone willing to give her time and understanding, Nova will become a deeply loyal and loving companion.

Nova's ideal home:
Fenced-in yard required
No cats
Calm, patient environment
Someone home enough to continue building her confidence
Children are okay (she's done well with ages 5 & 9)

Nova is still learning, growing, and discovering the good things in life-but she's already shown how much love she has to give. She's just waiting for the right person to help her fully bloom.

www.zoeshouserescue.com

Zoe's House Rescue
Kennel License 9117
Sinking Spring, PA 19608
