NOT at the shelter -- Courtesy Listing for Oscar's Story

Oscar IS NOT AT THE SHELTER. Please read below on how to learn more:

Oscar is a 5-year-old Boxer/Lab mix. He’s an incredible combination of smart and goofy, affectionate and independent, silly and serious, cautious and brave. His favorite things are playing with a rope or ball, training games, sniffing people’s breath (the stinkier, the better), and occasionally offering affection in the form of laying his head on or near you.
He’s house-trained, crate-trained, neutered, up to date on vaccines, and knows all the basics (sit, stay, come, shake, down, walking on a leash).
Over time, we’ve come to understand that Oscar likely has a vision impairment. Because of that, sudden loud or unpredictable noise can make him anxious. We’ve worked with a behaviorist and have him on a very simple medication protocol that has made a huge difference for him.
Oscar would thrive in a home with adults or older children, a structured environment, someone who enjoys bonding and continuing his training, and ideally a quieter setting or access to nature.
Oscar enjoys other friendly dogs and has made some great dog friends in his time with us.

Contact: jeremyharper5@gmail.com or call/text 916.899.4583

Thanks
