Meet North in AL - Silly & Lovable Unicorn Dog!

North is a unicorn boy who has never met a human, dog, or cat he didn't want to snuggle! He is described as a nanny dog with the gentle, loving temperament to welcome other fosters (even puppies!) to his new sanctuary. North has an adorable kangaroo hop that he does when he has the zoomies and is ready to play. He is house trained and has excellent manners indoors where his favorite pastime is keeping the sofa warm. North also has excellent canine communication skills, greeting any dog or cat he meets politely and with gentle interest. He loves snacking on Cheez-Its, having his soft coat brushed, romping in the yard with his giant breed foster siblings, and snuggling up with a tiny cat or dog. He's been known to sleep on his back with all paws straight up in the air for efficient venting and maybe even a little comedic relief for his admirers. If his silly, compassionate demeanor hasn't sold you yet, maybe his freckles or insistence that he's a lap dog will do the trick. This one-of-a-kind lovable guy is sure to bring a smile to your face, so apply today!

Due to the high level of interest we can't respond to emails unless an application has been submitted.

Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature (www.nationalpyr.org/know-the-breed) and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.

Secure VISIBLE fencing is required; invisible fencing WILL NOT contain this breed.
