🐾 Meet North (aka Nosey Northy!)<br/><br/><br/>Age: ~2 years old<br/>Breed: Great Dane mix<br/>Weight: ~55 lbs.<br/><br/>💛 About North<br/>North is the sweetest, goofiest boy with a big heart and an even bigger curiosity about the world—hence his nickname, Nosey Northy! He is always eager to explore, sniff, and learn everything he missed out on while in the shelter.<br/><br/>He loves being near his people but is not overly needy. North is the perfect balance of playful and relaxed—he enjoys bursts of fun with his toys, especially his ducky toys, but is just as happy being a total couch potato and cuddle buddy afterward.<br/><br/>He is also a BIG foodie (cheese is his current favorite!) which makes him highly trainable and very motivated to learn.<br/><br/><br/>⚡ Energy Level<br/>Low to moderate<br/><br/>North would be perfectly happy with one good walk a day or a fenced yard where he can explore, sunbathe, and be his curious self.<br/><br/>🏡 Ideal Home<br/>North would thrive in a moderately active home that enjoys walks, playtime, and adventures—but also appreciates a good snuggle session. A fenced yard would be a huge bonus for him to safely explore and relax.<br/><br/>🧠 Training & Behavior<br/>House trained<br/>Crate trained (but does not need to be crated)<br/>Potty trained<br/>Knows: sit, stay, down, shake<br/>Working on: jumping when excited + coming when called<br/>Leash skills: improving quickly with training and very receptive<br/>Not destructive and not a chewer (just a goofy, clumsy boy learning his space)<br/>No resource guarding<br/>Extremely food motivated and eager to learn<br/><br/>🐕 Socialization<br/>Dogs: Loves other dogs<br/>People: Very social and friendly<br/>Cats: Previously reported not best with cats (has not been tested in current foster home)<br/>Kids: Not yet tested, but expected to do very well due to his gentle, social nature<br/><br/>🚗 Personality & Lifestyle<br/>North is confident and unbothered by noise, storms, or new environments. He LOVES going new places and is excellent in the car (either crated or lounging calmly in the back seat). He has shown no anxiety, no aggression, and no signs of reactivity in foster care.<br/><br/>🐾 Health<br/>Neutered<br/>No known medical issues or health concerns<br/><br/><br/>💕 Summary<br/>North is a joyful, affectionate, and endlessly curious boy who is just discovering how wonderful life can be outside of the shelter. He’s playful, cuddly, smart, and incredibly eager to bond with his people.
