7 yr old Norris aka Nori are in need of a new home. His family had a new baby and is not able to give him the life he deserves. He has previously lived with other dogs as well as cats. He does well in calm, relaxed environments. He weighs 43 lbs. currently and loves to think he is a lap dog. His previous family says this about him..." Nori’s sensitive nature makes him nervous in new situations, especially where there is lots of noise and activity. He wants to retreat to a safe space. We are working to make leashed walks less scary for him, and he is building confidence by being with our dog and getting used to routine pathways. Nori is treat and praise motivated, and knows sit, shake, leave it, wait, touch, and down. Nori would thrive in a patient household where he can continue gaining confidence and learning. Ideally, he would have a fenced yard for playing fetch, his favorite activity, and occasional zoomies. Nori easily accepts grooming, like teeth brushing, baths, paw wiping, and nail trims.
