Norris aka Nori's Story

7 yr old Norris aka Nori are in need of a new home. His family had a new baby and is not able to give him the life he deserves. He has previously lived with other dogs as well as cats. He does well in calm, relaxed environments. He weighs 43 lbs. currently and loves to think he is a lap dog. His previous family says this about him..." Nori loves playing fetch and enjoys bright yellow squeaky tennis balls. He would thrive in an active household that would love to play with him often, but as he is very lazy, he would also be a good fit for any home."

He is currently in a foster home, and they say this about him...." Nori is a smart, sensitive, lively and loving dog. He has endless energy to fetch a tennis ball, yet he can settle down quickly and snuggle up next to you under a blanket for a nap. Once he knows you, he is your best friend who greets you joyfully with a ball or tug toy. Nori’s sensitive nature makes him nervous in new situations, especially where there is lots of noise and activity. He wants to retreat to a safe space. We are working to make leashed walks less scary for him, and he is building confidence by being with our dog and getting used to routine pathways. Nori is treat and praise motivated, and knows sit, shake, leave it, wait, touch, and down. Nori would thrive in a patient household where he can continue gaining confidence and learning. Ideally, he would have a fenced yard for playing fetch, his favorite activity, and occasional zoomies. Nori easily accepts grooming, like teeth brushing, baths, paw wiping, and nail trims. Nori is such fun to play with, to teach, and to snuggle with; he will make a perfect addition to someone’s life."

Can you help him start a new chapter in his life? Please submit an adoption application through our website.

https://www.seniordogsanctuary.com/adoption-application.html

Exceptions to everything listed? Sure, but all in all an experience you will never regret. First, come visit the dogs that interest you; we are open, by appointment, every day of the week from 10-3. Then complete our Adoption Application, which asks for personal references, your animals' Vet, information about your home environment and your agreement to allow us to do a home visit. Once approved, we will do a meet and greet with your family - including your four-legged family members. If all goes well, you welcome your pup into your home and your heart and you all become members of our extended Senior Dog Sanctuary family!
