Norman the Ladies Man Australian Shepherd Easton, PA

Norman is a very special Aussie who needs a similarly special home! He’s about 5 years old and a big, cuddly Aussie around 62 pounds. He was found as a stray in rural Louisiana with two other Aussies and never reclaimed. He is a gentle soul - we just love his big brown eyes.

Norman absolutely adores people, and once you’re one of his people, he will be your best buddy! He likes children, but he doesn’t know his size, so older children would be best. He is absolutely terrified of some men, which is one of the reasons he’s being rehomed. Despite having been in a home for 9 months, he is still terrified of the male figure in his home and as much as his adopter loves him, we have determined that he may do better in a different environment. He has been fine with some men; it's unclear what causes his fear of some and not others.

We don’t know what happened in poor Norman’s past, but because of his fearfulness, which can manifest as reactivity around other dogs, he would do best in a quiet home, not in an urban area.

Norman is not a high energy Aussie. He loves to walk, but more than anything he just wants to feel safe and be with you. Really, he just needs a place where he can click with a human or two, relax, and not be expected to be a social butterfly.

He would also love a home where he could be your one and only pet and soak up all the love and attention. Norman truly is a loving, deserving dog, and we think he can blossom in the right home where he is loved and can build trust with his people. Norman is crate trained and house trained.
