Norman Hound Mix Columbia, SC

Norman was found as a stray in pitiful condition. He had a piece of a chewed rope hanging from his collar. He was very lethargic, weak and thin. He was wearing a type of rubbery, durable collar that is popular with hunting dogs and even had an owner's name and phone number on the collar. However, when the owner was contacted, he was out of the country on vacation and had no interest in trying to get his dog back. Norman was most likely a yard dog that received very little attention or care.

Pawmetto Lifeline desperately wants to find a forever home for Norman where he can live inside as a member of the family! Norman is very sweet and a total goofball! He will keep you laughing with his derpy personality. He is an active hound that likes to run and play! Norman does not know a lot of basic obedience commands yet since his owners did not work with him. He didn't even know how to play with toys when he first arrived.

But Norman is very treat-motivated and eager to please you! Because he is a hound, he is very scent-oriented and loves to survey the area with his nose to the ground. Norman would love a big backyard to spend lots of time exploring the yard and engaging with his family!
Norman has not been directly tested yet with other dogs but has shown lots of positive interactions through the kennel and fence with other dogs. He would love to meet your dog if you have one! Norman could really benefit from another confident dog in the home that can show him the ways of simply being a family dog. He is a loving boy that deserves a family of his own!
