Norman's Story

WINNIPEG, MB - Although Norman did not have the best start in life, he was one day taken in by a loving family. They welcomed him wholeheartedly and loved him, but didnt know much about dogs. The family had young children, and while everyone was home, life was perfect in the house. But Norman was nervous and on edge, hyper-aware, anxious around new people, and quick and unpredictable movements were too much for him to handle. He had a difficult time especially around children who werent part of the immediate family. This is where the issue was, and the reason why he was surrendered to SPIN.

After spending a few months with a SPIN foster, he was adopted by a family, but despite initial plans and intentions, it turned out that not all household members were as committed to providing the special home and care Norman needed by making sure his life was predictable and free from all triggers. Thus, he was returned to SPIN. Despite the challenges, both of his families loved Norman very much, and we were happy that we were able to help him once again. Since his surrender, he has been living and decompressing with one of our experienced fosters who gives Norman the calm, gentle, and loving environment he so genuinely needs, and in return, Norman has been showing them what a snuggly and smart boy he is with so much potential beyond his initial shyness. Lets hear more about Norman from them:
