Nookie's Story

Nookie just arrived at our Connecticut Rescue after a harrowing stay at a North Carolina Shelter, where he was hours away from euthanasia. Shelter workers saw an inner spark amid the frightened confusion that he projected, and they advocated for him tirelessly.

Despite shelter stress, Nookie has blossomed beautifully here and has morphed into a happy-go-lucky little boy. He is a small dog at just 12 pounds, and has a wiry, low shedding coat. We suspect him to be a mix of Yorkie and Chihuahua.

Nookie is extremely friendly and loves everyone he meets. He would thrive in an active family with other friendly dogs that like to play.

Two years old, Nookie is an energetic boy who needs some daily exercise to keep him from becoming bored. He would be a fantastic running or hiking companion, and would love to be center stage in the family dynamic.

Nookie has good house manners, and is house trained and crate trained. Adopters should expect to troubleshoot the occasional accident that will inevitably occur during hIS transition to a new home. He has been neutered, and has received routine vaccinations and health screenings.

If you are interested in Nookie, please write to Angelsfrgod@aol.com or call or text Denise at 860-908-9738 for more info.
