Nola's Story

Hi, my name is Nola. People always ask why my head is shaved. Funny thing… it’s not. It’s just a goofy light patch on my head. Although noteworthy, my light patch is hardly the most remarkable thing about me. All you need to do is look into my soulful eyes and you’ll be able to tell that I am sweet and loving and just want to be loved. I like everyone I meet, am good with other dogs and I even like cats. Now squirrels… I must like them a lot because I chase them. Haven’t met one up close and personal yet, but I want to! I’m really bad with the concept of time, but if I had to guess, I’d say I’m around 8 years old. I was rescued from a shelter in Tennessee where a nice foster family took me in. Then I was adopted into my furever home where I got and gave lots of love for many years.

Unfortunately, my mom died suddenly in April, and I am now looking for another home. I’m around 60 pounds and would love a fenced yard to play in. My love language is a toss-up between quality time and personal touch. I enjoy playing and exploring with my people and I relish snuggle time. I’m not afraid of much, but storms are scary for me so extra snuggles are appreciated. If I were human, I might be a nurse because I am sensitive and intuitive in the way I connect with people. I mostly want to be with people who will love me and who I can love.

I am a runner, so whoever adopts me MUST have a privacy fence--at least 6 feet--as I can jump a lower fence.

To apply to adopt me, go to: https://www.centralpaanimalalliance.org/apply-to-adopt
