Nixie

Nixie was found as a stray puppy with her mom and litter mates in California. We scooped Nixie up and quickly got her into foster where she's doing an amazing job of learning to live in a home, cuddle with the humans, have good potty habits and start basic training.<br/><br/>- 19 pounds and estimated date of birth is 3/11/26<br/><br/>- We have photos of mom dog and she is around 40 pounds full grown. We are unsure what dad dog looked like. We think Nixie will likely be around 45- 50 pounds full grown. <br/><br/>- Best guess on breed mix is: Border Collie/German Shepherd mix. She's a wonderful little mixed breed who would be a fun one to do a DNA test on.<br/><br/>- Does excellent with other dogs and we are seeking a home with another friendly dog for Nixie to pal around with. Other dogs definitely help boost her confidence and she follows their lead. This is a requirement for Nixie.<br/><br/>- Good with cats and has been fostered with cats for the past week. No issues cohabitating with cats and she does not pester them.<br/><br/>- Kids ages 12+ if there are kids in the home. Nixie can be a little shy and active, young children may be overwhelming to her.<br/><br/>- Doing excellent with her potty habits and is following the lead of the other resident dogs during the potty routine. <br/><br/>- Does well in the crate and sleeps there at night without issue<br/><br/>- Loves to cuddle with her doggie friends<br/><br/>- Walks nicely on leash and enjoys following along on walks around the neighborhood<br/><br/>Nixie deserves an awesome life after being round in a rural area of California in rough condition. She is a gorgeous puppy who just wants to feel safe and loved!<br/><br/>Nixie has had two rounds of puppy vaccines and dewormer, is microchipped and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee includes her spay surgery at one of our partner veterinary clinics in SW Portland or Milwaukie.
