Since coming into rescue and getting neutered, he has shown just how much he wants stability and connection. Now, he will paw at the door to come back inside after only a few minutes because what he really wants is to be right where he belongs, with you.<br/><br/>Phoenix is a well-rounded, easy companion. He walks nicely on leash, does well in the car, and is comfortable in public settings. He is very handler-focused, non-reactive, and friendly with everyone he meets. He happily approaches people for pets and truly enjoys attention.<br/><br/>He takes treats very gently and has a calm, soft way about him. More than anything, Phoenix just wants to be next to you, soaking up attention and being part of whatever you are doing.<br/><br/>He does great with both large and small dogs and has adapted well to city life. Phoenix is eager to learn and eager to please. He already knows several commands including sit, shake, down, spin, and turn.
