Approximate Weight: 43lbs

This boy will not disappoint! He is such a sweet one as long as you give him time to warm up. He can be a bit nervous at first with a lot of pacing and sniffing but once he settles in he finds a comfy spot near the humans to rest. He is always watching, listening and paying attention to all the goings on in the house. He has no issues in his crate and walks well on a leash. Potty manners are a work in progress along with counter surfing (but to be fair he says he is the perfect height to enjoy the yummy food on the kitchen counters). He enjoys being close to the adult humans but he is a gentle calm pup that is good around the little humans too. He isn’t much for playing with toys but has found enjoyment in getting treats out of the different puzzles we have here.

What breed am I? Mixed mutt! ODHS does not breed label (unless there’s official paperwork), as studies show it is nearly impossible to tell the exact breed of each dog based off of their appearance.

Adoption Donations are $275 for an adult, $375 for puppies (a dog under one year of age), and $175 for a senior dog (based on the age of the dog). Adoption donations are to be made via cash, or credit/debit card. There is a $5 fee to run cards. We do not accept checks.

Please remember to bring a martingale collar and leash (non-retractable) with you the day of the adoption.

We typically have adoption events on Wednesday 5-7pm, Fridays 6-8pm and, Saturday noon to 4pm. Our adoption center is located at 3602 Lafayette Blvd, Suite 101, Fredericksburg, VA 22408. It's important that you keep an eye on your emails for any changes or updates during the adoption process.

Old Dominion Humane Society is a volunteer based organization. We are run completely by volunteers, who also have full time jobs, so we appreciate your patience. Currently, the average timeframe for a response to your application is 1 week.
