NEO's Story

***COURTESY POST, NEO is not a Lavender's Legacy Rescue*****

Meet NEO 💙

Neo is a 6-month-old Italian Greyhound with a heart as big as his cuddle game. This little guy wants nothing more than to be by your side all day, every day — whether that means curled up on the couch, snuggled under a blanket with you, or following you from room to room. He is incredibly affectionate and bonds deeply with his person. Neo is known for sticking his little tongue out, which perfectly matches his playful, goofy personality and is guaranteed to make you smile daily.

Neo needs a home where someone can spend most, if not all, of the day with him. He thrives on constant companionship and will do best with a stay-at-home adopter, someone who works from home, or a household where he is rarely left alone.

Neo is very quiet overall and never barks, but he does whimper or cry at times, especially when he’s feeling anxious or unsure. He currently has some crate anxiety, which we are actively working on with patience and positive reinforcement. Neo is potty trained though has some poop accidents when he gets very stressed in his crate. He will do best in a home that understands this and is willing to continue helping him build confidence at his own pace.

Because Italian Greyhounds are delicate, Neo must go to a home without large dogs. He is a fragile little guy and needs a calm, gentle environment where his safety is a top priority. When Neo was just 3 months old, he took a tumble that resulted in a broken leg. He underwent surgery and now has three screws in his right front leg. He has recovered well, but may limp at times as he adjusts to being bandage-free and continues to build strength and confidence.

Neo also has some very important preferences: he loves sweaters and basically lives in them because he gets cold. Cozy is his lifestyle. He’s a big fan of KONGs filled with peanut butter spray and stuffed animal toys, which he loves to pounce on and play with, bringing endless entertainment (and smiles) to anyone watching.

Neo is:
• Up to date on some vaccines, including Bordetella, and rDAP
• Dewormed

He would still need neutered and to get his rabies vaccine.

If you’re looking for a loyal shadow, professional snuggler, and goofy little lovebug who just wants warmth, comfort, and your constant companionship, Neo may be your perfect match. 🐾
