Nemo's Story
Meet Nemo!!

Life hasn't been easy for Nemo. He was found locked inside an abandoned house with no food, water, or electricity. He'd been living there with an unhoused person who cared for him, but when that person had to leave the house and couldn't take him along, Nemo was left behind and ended up on the euthanasia list before our rescue stepped in. He also came to us with a small deformity in his front left leg, reportedly from his mom laying on him as a pup. Multiple vets and x-rays confirmed there's nothing to fix, he doesn't put weight on it and gets around just fine on his other three.

Nemo can jump remarkably high and loves standing up on his back legs to check things out; you'd never guess he's working with one leg fewer than most dogs :) He's also obsessed with his stuffies and loves playing with them.

He's become best friends with his foster sister and he handles her chaos like a champ. The two of them play together and run around like crazies. Nemo is still working on house training and learning to relax on his own, but he does great in his kennel once he's settled in for the night.

He goes absolutely crazy for his food. Nemo is 100% food motivated and will do just about anything for a treat or a meal!

Nemo would do best in a home where he is not left along for long stretches, that appreciates his goofy energy and is ready to keep up with his training as he settles in.

Nemo also came to us with some mild dermatitis and hair loss. He's on regular medicated baths and his coat is already growing back nicely.

Nemo is estimated to be 2-3 YO and is heartworm negative and neutered.

Nemo is located in Houston, but available for transport to Washington.
