Nelson Havanese Mix Portland, OR

Sweet Nelson is approx 2-3 years old. He came into rescue when he was left behind by his owners. We found out that this precious boy lived his life in a small cage in the backyard with a tarp over it. Because of this he has anxiety when crated so he must not be caged or crated!!

Nelson spent 3 weeks on his own before being caught.
When he was taken to the vet a lump was found under his left arm and was biopsied and it turned out to be cancer. His front leg had to be removed. He is still healing, but doing beautifully.

Nelson loves cuddles and has some anxiety when left alone.
Prefer a home where someone is home most of the time or can take him to work.

He does great on a leash. Is house trained but is using potty pads while healing.
Nelson loves playing with the dogs in his foster home and is fine with the kitty too.

Nelson is vaccinated, neutered and microchipped.
