Meet Nate

Sweet Nate was at a local shelter and left there and we cannot imagine why. First few pics were before he was groomed. He had lots of mats so his hair is much shorter now but he is still adorable. He is a happy boy, needs a little while to warm up to new people and can be fearful of men. He is about 2 years old and weighs about 12 lbs. He is in a foster home with three other small dogs and is getting along with everyone. Nate enjoys riding in the car and is good on a leash, he likes chew toys, plush toys and chases a ball, sometime brings it back. He is house trained, sleeps in a crate at night, although would rather be in your bed. He is good with older children but has not been cat tested. He is very food motivated so easy to train, he learned the Sit command in two days and has now mastered Shake and working on others. He told his foster mom that he is waiting for a home with another playful dog as he gets a little anxious when the humans are away at work.
