Nanny's Story

Nanny is a sweetheart of a granny dog that we rescued out of Oklahoma where she had sat in rescue for over a year with no adoption interest. We just know the Pacific NW will come through with a retirement home for Nanny because we adore senior dogs out here.

Nanny's dream home for her golden years would have a fenced yard and maybe even a doggie door so she can go outside and lounge in the yard to her little heart's content. She really loves her outside time sunbathing and relaxing so we are seeking a home with a fenced yard for her to enjoy.

- Approximately 12 years old and 21 pounds

- Possibly a Jack Russell Terrier mix

- Great with other dogs and cats. Fostered with both and is very polite and sweet with other animals.

- Very gentle, calm dog. Loves people and still has some cuddles to share.

- Prefer a calmer home

- Perfect potty habits so far and will signal to go outside

- Quiet girl, not a barker

- Can be trusted outside her crate if you are not home

- Just a tender, lovely old lady dog who deserves a happy home!

Nanny is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, dental cleaning and extractions recently completed, heartworm tested negative and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. She does have two smaller lumps on her body but our vet has tested them and they are not harmful and do not need removed. She also has a double ear infection which we are treating with a medication that is put in once and stays in to treat. Nanny may be deaf. She seems like she can't hear much. Her adoption fee also includes a free wellness exam at one of our partner veterinary clinics in Tualatin, Oregon City, Milwaukie, or Portland.

$150 adoption fee

Fostered in Portland, Oregon

APPLY TO ADOPT NANNY ON OUR WEBSITE: WWW.AGAVEDOGS.ORG

We are volunteer run and most of us work a normal day job and do rescue work in our free time. 2. If your application seems like a good match for the dog you are applying to adopt, we will call you to talk more about the dog you're interested in. 3. We provide you the foster home's contact information and you set up a time to go and visit the dog you're interested in. 4. If you decide to proceed with the adoption, we have you complete our Adoption Contract and pay the adoption fee. 5. We drop our dogs off at their new homes to make sure all is well. 6. We email you the dog's vet records and microchip information.
